Standardized Fiberglass Frame Kit Updated for Easier Installation, Efficiency

In August of 2025, we standardized the frame installation kit for Special-Lite AF Series Frames to cover all anchoring options (except new concrete block). The kit is an optional purchase and covers all hurricane-rated approvals on our Fiberglass Doors and Frames.

The installation kit includes:

  • EZ Shims
  • 4″ Tapcon (Crete-Flex) T-25 Torx Head S.S. Anchors — NEW
  • 6″ Tapcon (Crete-Flex) T-25 Torx Head S.S. Anchors — NEW
  • #8 x 1-3/4″ S.S. Flat Head Screws
  • 3-1/4″ Hex Wash Head S.S. Anchors
  • Anchor Plugs (Color Black)
  • #10 x 3/4″ SS Pan Head Sheet Metal Screws

As of this month (February 2026), you will notice that the 4 -and 6-inch Phillips Head S.S. Anchors have been changed to T-25 Torx Head S.S. Anchors.

This change was made due to an anticipated industry shift. The Torx Head provides better torque, and many installers prefer this option for easier installation.
