Special-Lite Partners with BIMsmith to Launch New BIM Tools for Architects and Designers

Decatur, MI (March 25, 2026) As a leading manufacturer of high-performance doors, frames, and bathroom partitions, we are proud to announce our partnership with BIMsmith, the leading product research platform for building professionals, for the development of new Building Information Modeling (BIM) tools for architects, designers, and other building professionals.

Our partnership includes a comprehensive set of new BIM product models representing Special-Lite’s range of commercial doors and entryway systems used in a variety of industries and applications. Each model is natively built for Autodesk Revit, enabling design professionals to seamlessly integrate Special-Lite products into their projects.

The collaboration also makes Special-Lite products available on BIMsmith Market, the leading cloud platform used by architects and engineers to conduct building product research and download Revit content.

“Architects and designers rely on us for doors, frames, and bathroom partitions that perform while meeting their needs,” said Alex Esposito, P.E., President and COO of Special-Lite. “We understand their challenges, which is why we make it easy to access the resources, tools, and support needed to specify with confidence. Providing BIM tools reinforces and enhances that commitment.”

“Special-Lite has a rich history of innovation and performance with Division 08 and Division 10 products,” said Benjamin Glunz, CEO of BIMsmith. “We’re excited to introduce Special-Lite’s solutions to the global community of architects and designers using BIMsmith.”
