Here at Special-Lite, we produce high-quality commercial doors and frames that are durable, lightweight, and stronger than the competition. We can ship many of our products in less time than other commercial door manufacturers.

Why wait up to 18 weeks for the competition? Our lead times are shorter,* and it’s possible to knock another 2 weeks off our current lead time. With a shorter lead time and an additional 2-week reduction, this is the solution you need for your project.

Some restrictions apply, and additional costs will vary depending on the specifics of your project. Still, nothing compares to keeping your customers happy and your project on schedule.

What Commercial Door Orders Can Be Expedited?

The following products are currently available for Expedited Order requests:

  • All Fire-Rated Doors (AF-FR Series, SL-FR Series, and SLI-FR Series).
  • Standard Width Pultruded Fiberglass Doors (AF-100).
  • AF Composite Series Fiberglass Doors (AF-200, AF-217, AF-219, AF-219-1, and AF-220).
  • AF-150 and AF-250 Fiberglass Framing in standard jamb depths and immediate door frames (3-sided frame) only.

How It Works

You can request to expedite your order at any stage—Estimating, Ordering, or Detailing.

NOTE: Completed Estimate/Order Forms are required to proceed. Your Estimate must be completed with Special-Lite.

  • If your project is in Estimating, send your request to estimating@special-lite.com.
  • If your project is in Ordering (with a PO or our cover page), send your request to orders@special-lite.com.
  • If your project is already assigned to a detailer, make the request directly to your detailer.

What You Need to Know: Terms and Exclusions

  • All orders are subject to approval. Special-Lite reserves the right to refuse any Expedited Order request.
  • Customers must have established credit and be in good standing with Special-Lite prior to placing an order.
  • If approved as an Expedited Order, a charge will be assessed:
    • Prep only: 15%
    • Factory applied hardware: 25%.
  • If supplying hardware for factory installation, an arrival date must be communicated before approval. If your hardware does not arrive on time, the job will switch to prep only. Some hardware exclusions apply.
  • Custom paint colors must be approved before the Expedited Order process begins and may incur an additional cost. Expediting finish fees from vendors will be passed to the Customer.
  • Our Expedited Order Program excludes: Bathroom Partitions, Omega™ Interior Aluminum Framing, LiteSpace® and Dual Glazed LiteSpace® Interior Aluminum Framing, SLI Aluminum Doors (SLI-12, 13, 14), Double-Acting Traffic Doors, SpecSlide™ Sliding Door System, Pultruded Fiberglass Doors (AF-100) with custom width/rip down edges, 3-piece/factory adjustable Fiberglass Framing, transoms, sidelites, curving and custom metal fabrication, and complicated frames using fiberglass framing.
