What’s the Difference Between a Composite Door and Pultruded Door?

Pultruded Fiberglass Doors

Special-Lite makes the only fully pultruded, completely sealed heavy-duty fiberglass door with a closed cell foam core, monolithic design, and extreme strength-to-weight ratio.

Composite Fiberglass Doors

Composite Fiberglass Doors are made with strong pultruded fiberglass stiles and rails, EPS foam or polypropylene honeycomb core, and a chemically bonded FRP door face for durability.

Our fiberglass door series includes five Special-Lite models that are the same except for the FRP door face texture: AF-200 smooth, AF-217 pebble grain, AF-219 rustic wood grain, AF-219-1 contemporary wood grain, and AF-220 sandstone texture.
