Heavy-duty, Corrosion Resistant Commercial Fiberglass Door

Special-Lite makes the only fully pultruded, completely sealed, heavy-duty fiberglass door. It features a closed cell foam core, monolithic design, and extreme strength to weight ratio.

Special-Lite® AF-100 doors are 1-3/4″ thick, hermetically sealed, and immune to moisture and corrosive gases or liquids, making them ideal for environments that quickly destroy even stainless steel doors.

Our Pultruded Fiberglass Doors are dimensionally and aesthetically equivalent to hollow metal doors but offer performance, durability, and longevity that hollow metal doors cannot match. Our custom fiberglass door manufacturing and construction meet FDA and USDA guidelines, allowing this door to be used in applications with the most stringent cleanliness and safety requirements. This smooth, rugged, corrosion-resistant door features:

  • A 6 lb./cubic foot polyurethane closed-cell foam core wrapped in 4 layers of glass fiber reinforcements and resin encapsulated to 1/8″ for incredible impact resistance.
  • Stile edges are constructed with 9/16″ thick FRP structural reinforcement, allowing maximum screw-holding capability.
  • Standard mortise bottom rail allows for field trimming, and the optional flush bottom rail assists with cleaning and sterilization.

Hardware: Standard industry hardware is compatible with all doors. The top rail is 6″ deep and has a 1/4″ wall thickness to provide ample reinforcement for closer attachments.

Specialty Ratings: Options with a blast-resistant and 20-minute fire rating, as well as hurricane and windstorm ratings, are available.

Framing Options: Pair our AF-100 with our AF-150 Fiberglass Frame System for corrosive and high traffic areas or our AF-250 Fiberglass 3-Sided Door Frame, a perfect solution for hollow metal frame maintenance issues.
